Our visit to Big Pit on Friday the 23rd of September was exceptionally good. We had an underground tour by miners who worked at the mine when it was an open, working mine. They taught us a great deal and answered every single question we asked...even the tricky ones! The trip was a great start to our project and we will be learning a great deal more about mining in the coming weeks. We will continue to blog our work and activties so keep visiting.
